An Overview of Intentional Interim Ministry Becoming One Weekend Resources
There comes a time in every person's life when the crisis, tribulation or pain one experiences needs to intersect the heart of another who can help. For most of us, those times bring us in close connection with our ministers. By nature, clergy are in the helping business, but who helps them when they are in need?
Encouraged Leadership Incorporated is a 501(C)3, non-profit organization that was formed to assist ministers and churches in times of such need. By providing leadership consulting, retreats, respite, and other forms of assistance, E.L.I. is working to help equip ministers for the calling of God on their lives. Formed in 2004, E.L.I.'s primary role has been to provide periods of escape for minsters and their families. This is usually accomplished through short term retreats at various geographic locations around the country. During these times, ministers are given the ability to disconnect from the pressures of ministry to simply relax and reflect. Additionally, E.L.I. is available for extended partnerships at the ministers request. Other areas of assistance are often available either directly through E.L.I. or its network of willing people who donate services for the cause of bettering the Kingdom.

"What church is E.L.I. affiliated with?"
E.L.I. is a free standing, autonomous organization. While we encourage partnerships with churches from different denominational affiliations, E.L.I. is self governed.
"Who is able to participate in E.L.I.'s ministry?"
Participants (churches and ministers) are selected on a case by case basis as determined by the Board of Trustees.
"How are participants selected?"
Any person who believes a church or minster could benefit from assistance by E.L.I. can make a nomination by contacting Bryan or Alisha Hutchinson. Information will be gathered on the nominee and a decision will be made.
"How is E.L.I. funded?"
E.L.I. is funded through donations made by individuals, churches and corporations. These tax-deductible donations are usually made in monetary forms, however E.L.I. will also consider acceptance of real property.

churches in our nation became healthy, vibrant and unified in their desire to reach people for the cause of Christ? What would happen if leaders in churches were refreshed? What would happen if churches were prepared for the arrival of new ministers, understood the role each holds in the community and were unified around a central purpose? We believe revival would start.
Yet, often churches themselves need assistance. The passion we share can become overshadowed by the reality of the fallen world that we live in.
We have decided to do something about it. The reason HCS exists is to change the world. What we believe is simple. We believe that God exists, that God loves people, and that God uses people to spread the wonderful message of His grace. We believe the primary vessels to spread this message are local churches. We know that churches, like people, are not perfect and at times need help. This is what we have set our hearts to do. We desire to help churches so we have structured our lives to be available to minister however, wherever and to whomever God calls us to. Here are some of the ways we can do that:

Diverse ministry? Yes. However we belive that the One we serve is more important than where or how we serve. If God wants us to be part of what He is doing, we are willing. How about you? Are you ready to live your life for the higher calling?
